The Perfect Sacrifice 3

A lot of folks entertain the wrong notion that prosperity is alien to the believer and that God is averse to the idea of His children prospering. But nothing can be further from the truth because God’s word reveals that He delights in the prosperity of His servants (Ps 35:27). So it gets him excited to see His children prospering. Prosperity refers to a state of sufficiency and completeness or roundedness in every sphere of life with nothing missing or broken. In other words, you have all things working together for your good in every endeavour of life – finance, career, marriage, academics, ministry and so on. To that extent, you can readily deduce that many who are rich materially are not necessarily prosperous! Beloved, true prosperity can only be a product of God’s limitless grace made available to us on the bill of Christ’s finished works. It takes only God to make rich without adding any atom of sorrow to it. 2 Cor 9:8 says the God of all grace is able to make all grace abound towards us to the point that we always enjoy all sufficiency in all things. Wow…glory to God! The assurance that our prosperity has always been the Father’s original plan is lucidly stated in 2 Cor 8:9. Jesus the Son of God became poor so that we can be rich. Now we have no business putting up with poverty because God gives us ALL things RICHLY to enjoy (1Tim 6:17). This is worth rejoicing over, isn’t it?
If you are a believer, this is your own reality in Christ Jesus. Believe it with every fibre of your being, be a cheerful giver for God blesses us to be a blessing to others (Gen 12:2) and your life will soon be a glowing example of prosperity to the unbelieving world. You are blessed and happy Easter celebrations. Love you!
